chris started to bring home art works that i can not just put it in the art work folder - they are very creative and nicely done. i plan to scan those digitally so that they can be viewed in the future. here is one of the art works by chris:

this is a record setting for seattle - 12/17-12/26 none stop. i had a scare moment when i try to pull the car into the garage, i need to make a turen in the cross road of the community but i have a hard time to drive the car uphill, it was icy and slipy. i have to drive to the cue-de-sec and use some speed to get up the hill.

the other night we went to a friend’s house which is just a short walk away. i was holding chris in my arm. but i slipped and fell on the ice. but i was still holding chris. i was a bit worried about chris and try to make sure he is ok. chris is a bit scared, but he said to me “are u ok” right after we fell - it is like a holiday present for me!

it was a nice day last saturday, there is sun shine for a period of time. kids like it more than anything else, it was raining for the last few weekends and they get bored staying indoor. I took them to the seattle center. it was all decorated with christmas light on the trees and magic lights near the water fountain. when it is getting dark, the scene is extremely beautiful, the water display, the holiday music, and the background key arena and internal lights and space needle standing tall in the sun set. I took a shot of the space needle take a look.

we then went to watch a show Bluenose. it is an execellent show for kids. here is the introduction:

“This rollicking pirate story has quick and witty banter, fantastic physical comedy, and a lovely story of tolerance and acceptance. Three red-nosed pirates stumble across a blue-nosed girl fishing in the water around their boat. Being different from them is an unthinkable offense, and they don’t like it! Despite their bumbling, stumbling ways, she teaches them to let go of their prejudices and fears, and they all learn a little bit about themselves along the way.”

after the show, kids got to go to the stage and ask questions. chris went up there and asked a question to Ku (Hana Lass): when you jump into the water, there is splashes. why is that”. Ms Lass, seemingly not trying to explain the physics of how the water splashes, asked chris: “yah, when you go swimming in the water, do you make splashes?”, to her surprise, chris answered, firmly, “no”. everybody laughed at that point.

chris even got a signature from ms Hana Lass.

took the kids along with 2 other families for a mini-trip to vancouver. it was a fun trip. the only glich is the raining, it was wet all day. fortunately there is a huge kid’s zone in aberdeem shopping center and kevin and chris had a good time playing there. there is also the ms vancouver contest, not many people are there though. we had dinner in the yaohan food court the second night, when we done with the dinner, the rain stops, so we head up to the stanley park for the bright light show and the train ride. it was quite fun

chris likes to wave his baton these days and follow any music you can catch on. so he asked daddy to sing while he is conducting. here you go - the five big dump truck.

10/31/09 - it is the 2009 halloween time again, this is the fun time for kevin and chris. they picked two full buckets of candies last year. i have to hide those candies from them, otherwise they will eat them all (their dentist may like that:-)

i first went to kevin’s class room. they have a halloween parade and party this afternoon. his classmates all dressed up with halloween custume and there are quite a few parents attending the party.

we stopped by kevin’s after-school care family on our way to pick up chris. ms. jiao prepared the halloween gift for kevin. they are a loving family, the boy allen who is attending the same school as kevin’s become good friend with kevin. they are quite happy that they can have time play together after school.

Chris is having fun with his halloween parties - there are a few activities at scs. he is ready to go out trick-o-treating.

I had a hard time trying to get chris dress up with his little duck costume. so i have to drive them to samm offices first and thinking to dress chris up in my office. but the moment chris go past the asile with the halloween decoration, chris started to cry - he was really scared by the darkness and the ghost posts. i think they did a scary job. Chris started to calm down once i took him to the other side of the building. they went trick-o-treating right away their buckets start to fill with candies.

After the dinner, we went to a friend’s community, this year that community decorated well and attracts lots of trick-o-treaters. there is even a family that put their entire garage on show, you can line up and get into the garage. no one knows what happens inside, but everyone coming out from the other side kept screaming.

kevin, chris, ryan are a team of action. they work pretty good in a team. kevin work on the door bell, ryan started loud with trick-o-treat, they usually get what they want without many trouble. their bucket started to fill again. kevin have to unload the candies several times to continue. it was quite fun.

last sunday we had a gathering for chris birthday at castle ice. this is something new to the kids since the bouncing party has been dominating the kids birthday choice. so we are trying to do something new and hopefully more fun.

Kevin went right to work. with the help of a roller handle, he is on the ice skating and walking around like a fish. It took chris a bit more time to setting in. i have to hold him and walk on the ice for a while before he is not scared to step into the ice. then i have to hold both his hands for him to walk. but after a while he started to have fun and enjoy the skating. he does not want to leave when the time is up.

Chris knows he is turning 4 today. when asked him last night how old is him, he would tell you i am 3, now if you ask, i am 4 is the answer, and uaually he will extend his little hand with 4 fingers up high, very cute.

it is always fun to go some places when alot of your friends are also going. this is actually motivated by microsoft. microsoft is throwing a party - well, sort of, it partners with wide wave theme park to give every ms primecard holders free pass to the them park, coupled with the mid-autumn festival and the season end for the water park, and a nice weather this time of the year. but for the most part, it is the fun going with friends, just use the excuse of the free pass:-). 

there arent a huge clowd in the park, a short 5 minutes wait we are in the park.

there is alot of funs on water, the kids pool is where kevin and chris spent most of their time. then the water wave pool, real fun, the part that the wave is the strongest will list you up in the air and drop you 6-8 feets back and force. it would be more fun if they know how to swim since many require some swiming skill (note to self: sign up for a new swiming class when kevin is back from shanghai next month).

the park is more than a water park, there is rollercoster ride, the 袋鼠跳跃, the octopus (章鱼旋），firetruck, 划船，etc.

在连接水上公园和儿童园的路上，看到了一个很有趣的现象，河里有一大堆鲤鱼在桥墩边张大嘴等着喂食，吊起我们钓鱼的兴致，可惜这鱼可不让钓的哦，看的我们手痒痒。 拍下来，饱饱眼福：-）
